Hello, my fellow art lovers. It's been a while since I last wrote to you about what's been going on in my life and art. I've been very busy! I'm part of the Red Door Art Group, founded by the eminent Nillumbik artist Jacquie Hacansson (also known as Red Door Studio), and we are hosting our first group show, which opens next Friday, August 29th, at 6.30 pm through September 28th, 2025.
A little bit about the theme: Edges & Echoes
Edges & Echoes delves into themes of city and nature, past and present, light and shadow. Each piece crafted by the talented artists of the Red Door Art Group reflects their take on the theme—those moments and places where opposites coexist, interact, and ultimately redefine themselves.
Common Colour for Cohesion
To achieve cohesion, our group chose one colour for all of our artwork to incorporate. It was an unusual choice, Orange. For some (aka me), integrating such a vibrant colour into their work has been a challenge, but as a group, we have produced a fantastic selection of artworks for you to enjoy.

Visitors are not only encouraged to admire the artistry but also to vote on the ‘People’s Choice Award’, sponsored by Senior Art Supplies. We will have forms for you to fill in at the Opening Night Celebration and throughout the exhibition. The lucky artist will win a $100 voucher, generously donated by Senior Art Supplies (oh the supplies one could get with that!!!)

If you’re passionate about art (as I know you are) or just looking for inspiration, Edges & Echoes provides an enthralling experience you shouldn’t overlook. Our artists will be present in the gallery on Opening Night and throughout the exhibition they will be actively creating and ready to discuss their inspiration and techniques with you.
Edges & Echoes opens on the night of Friday 29 August and will run through to 28 September. Gallery 7six5 is open Friday to Sunday 10am to 4pm and is situated at 765d Eltham-Yarra Glen Road, Watsons Creek Vic 3097.
